| Profile: The settlement of Buckhorn in the 1870's became the present site of the city of Cudahy. Patrick Cudahy moved his meat packing operation to Buckhorn in 1892. In 1906 the area was incorporated as a city and adopted the name Cudahy. A dozen or more industries are located in the City, one of which is the largest drop forge company in the world. The entire eastern edge of the city consists of Sheridan and Warnimont Parks which abut the shores of Lake Michigan. Outside the western edge of the city is General Mitchell International Airport, the commercial airport serving the entire Metro-Milwaukee community. |
