




The poetry of history has been woven into this extraordinary land which overlooks the lush pastures and rolling hillsides of Southern Wisconsin. Attracted by abundant water, early Indian inhabitants erected effigy mounds in this area. The name Token Creek was derived from Takaunee, a minor Indian chief. Completed in 1844, the Fort Winnebago Road from Madison passed through Token Creek. Guided by landmark Big Hill, homesteaders and lumbermen journeyed through on their way to the northern pineries.
At Migration Path Estates, the various colors of earth below your feet mark the actual pathway carved by Native Americans – from Beaver Dam to the lakes. Near Culver's Spring, this area thrives as a natural haven for wildlife in a surround of rich, pristine beauty.
