Mukwonago is located 30 miles southwest of Milwaukee and is split between both Waukesha and Walworth counties. The village has a population of 7,355 with only 101 of these residents living in Walworth County.
The Mukwonago area is home to six different parks that are maintained and supported by the Mukwonago Parks Department. All of these different parks have many amenities available including ball diamonds, picnic areas, disc golf course, trails, and much more. Indianhead Park is located right on the Mukwonago River and has a public beach area so patrons can enjoy the river. The river flows right into the beautiful Phantom and Lower Phantom Lakes.
