About Gleason

Located in the middle of Lincoln County is the Town of Gleason, an unincorporated, peaceful little community.

During the 1980’s, multiple different movies were filmed in Gleason. This is because Shooting Ranch Motion Pictures was centered out of Gleason, so it made filming in the area easy. The studio ended up closing in 1988.

Around the area there are many different rivers that are known for producing a fair amount of trout. The nearby Prairie River holds the state record for the biggest Inland Brook Trout at a whopping 9 lbs. 15 oz. This makes the area a hot spot for trout and should be a must fish for those in the area.
