The unincorporated community of Pelican Lake is located on the east shore of Pelican Lake, one of the largest clear water lakes in Northern Wisconsin. Pelican Lake is located in the southeastern section of Oneida County.
Pelican Lake offers some of the best fishing in the state of Wisconsin. The lake is roughly 3,500 acres and gets as deep as almost 40 feet. There are a wide variety of fish in the lake, but it is known best for cranking out trophy Northern Pikes and Muskies. Fishing is great year round, but it is recommended that you come druing the fall months for the optimal experience.
The community of Pelican Lake is located relativley close to Crandon and Rhinelander, so larger communities are just a short drive away. Both of these cities provide many different attractions including the Crandon Speedway and the Rhinelander Hodag. They are both unique in their own respect but are worth the drive.
