Ingram was established in 1885 with logging being it principal industry.
The town was named after O.H. Ingram, a logger and partner in the Chippewa Logging Company.
For the avid sportsman the Ingram area offers hunting in the Flambeau River State Forest and Rusk County Forest.
Deer, bear, pheasants and ruffed grouse are all abundant in the area.
Every August, the Village celebrates Ingram Days. A community celebration that highlights, Ball Tournaments; Kids Games; Music; Parade; Volleyball, Horseshoes; and, of course,Food.
