The Town of Lisbon is located in north central Waukesha County right along WI-164. Lisbon has a population of 9,359 and includes part of the unincorporated community of Colgate and all of the unincorporated community of Lake Five.
One of the main attractions in Lisbon is the 9/11 Memorial Site. This memorial site contains a scaled-down remake of the Twin Towers along with an actual girder from the rubble at Ground Zero. On September 11, 2011, the dedication ceremony was held for the memorial site. An estimated 2,000 people came to listen to keynote speaker U.S. senator Ron Johnson and join in singing “America the Beautiful” and “God Bless America” with the Shepard of the Hills Choir.
